David Davis says he is ‘very uncomfortable’ with mandatory voter ID ahead of local elections

The minister of state for planning Rachel Maclean was today called to the commons to answer an urgent question from the Labour MP Clive Betts on the subject of voter ID.

Speaking during the urgent question, Conservative MP David Davis said: “I must tell the minister that I am very uncomfortable with this policy. … We’ve had one conviction in a decade in this subject”.
