Sheerman bids to correct law that was ‘wrong for 30 years’

In a ten minute rule bill, Labour’s Barry Sheerman introduced the House of Commons to his bill which would correct a law that has been “wrong for 30 years”.

This was a bill was would help limit issues within the UK legal system allowing for miscarriages of justice.

Sheerman told MPs that it is “vital” that parliamentarians “do everything we can” and act quickly to provide mechanisms to right wrongs.
