MPs consider support for Türkiye and Syria after earthquakes

In a Westminster Hall debate today, MPs considered the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria and the support that ought be provided in the aftermath.

Conservative MP Wendy Morton, who put forward the debate, said: “The impact of these earthquakes was felt hundreds of miles away with shaking felt in the Lebanese capital of Beirut and tremors in Cyprus, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan. And just this week, a further earthquake measuring 6.4 hit the region, too”.
