Malthouse: Standards and ethics not left ‘wanting’ in government

During questions to the cabinet office, chancellor of the duchy of Lancaster Kit Malthouse denied that standards or ethics were left “wanting” in the government despite there being no ethics advisor.

Shadow cabinet minister Fleur Anderson expressed her concern that no ethics advisor would lead to “wallpapering over the cracks”.

Anderson asked when a new ethics advisor is expected to be appointed, however, Malthouse did not give a timeframe.
