Jeremy Corbyn asks for clarification on the Government’s position on Israeli settlements

In foreign, commonwealth and development office questions today, Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn probed the Government’s policy on Israel and Palestine amid mounting tensions in the region.

Mr Corbyn asked: “What sanctions are they applying against Israel in terms of supplying arms and trading with illegally produced settlement products?”.

Foreign secretary James Cleverly responded: “The UK’s position on settlements has been clear, consistent and unambiguous. We continue to work towards a negotiated two state solution”.
