Courts denies government letting P&O Ferries ‘get away with it’

During transport questions, shadow secretary Louise Haigh alleged that the government are letting P&O Ferries “get away with it” following the promotion of the firm’s CEO to the board.

Haigh told the House of Commons that P&O were laughing in its face.

Transport under-secretary Robert Courts fiercely denied these claims, reminding Haigh of the “nine actions that the government are taking to tackle the utterly disgraceful behaviour”.
