Thérèse Coffey has ‘full confidence’ in the financial resilience of the water sector

During environment, food and rural affairs questions today, Labour spokesperson Jim McMahon asked the minister about the threatened collapse of Thames Water.

He asked: “So can the secretary state tell the House if she believes this is an isolated case, yes or no?”.

Secretary of state Therese Coffey responded: “The government has full confidence in the financial resilience of the water sector”.
