Rees-Mogg told to ‘take a lead from his PM’ and resign

During questions to the cabinet office, Labour’s Geraint Davies told government efficiency minister Jacob Rees-Mogg to resign following “thousands of civil servants now being sacked”, leading to delays with passports.

Davies told MPs “what we should be having is him taking a lead from his prime minister so he can resign”.

Rees-Mogg shrugged off the call as “socialist confusion”, telling the House of Commons that “what we need to do is to be efficient and spend taxpayers money wisely”.
