New bill would require bus companies to consult passengers before changing timetables
The Conservative MP Dean Russell today proposed a 10 minute rule bill which would force bus companies to consult passengers before changing timetables.
Introducing his bill to the House, Mr Russell said: “Now my proposal is a very simple one: to implement a legal requirement or guidance for all companies commercial or public, who provide the public bus service, to ensure users of the bus service are given an opportunity to feed into a consultation before services are changed or cancelled”.
