Government announces reform of gambling laws to ‘protect the most vulnerable’

The secretary of state for culture, media and sport Luzy Frazer today made a ministerial statement to the commons announcing a series of new regulations on gambling companies.

Ms Frazer said: “The online world has transformed so many parts of life, and gambling is no exception. It is our responsibility to make sure our rules and regulations keep up with the real world so we can protect the most vulnerable, whilst also allowing everyone else to enjoy gambling without harm”.
