Dodds urges government to ‘restore maternity services’ by scrapping non-dom tax exemption
During women and equalities department questions today, shadow secretary of state Anneliese Dodds asked the minister Maria Caulfield about maternity services.
Ms Dodds said: “Labour would restore maternity services, training 10,000 midwives and nurses a year paid for by scrapping the non-dom tax exemption. So why is the government letting women pay the price for its failures?”
The minister responded by calling for “cross party” support on the issue.
