Thomas-Symonds calls on government to take ‘urgent steps’ to support the UK’s exporters

During business and trade questions today shadow secretary of state for international trade Nick Thomas-Symonds asked the minister Nus Ghani to take urgent steps to support the UK’s exporters.

Mr Thomas-Symonds said: “The UK is predicted to have the worst growth in the G7. Surely, Mr. Speaker, if ministers truly recognise the scale of these projected losses, they’d be taking urgent steps to support our exporters now”.

Ms Ghani responded: “Exports are up business service exports are up also and we’re on track to reach our target of 1 trillion by 2030”.
