Raab’s bill of rights plan would ‘undermine’ victims, says SNP MP

In justice department questions on Tuesday, SNP spokesperson Stuart McDonald called on Dominic Raab to drop his bill of rights plan.

Mr McDonald said: “Will he now listen to victims and their representatives and abandon his plans which undermine them?”.

The justice secretary responded: “That critique is total and utter nonsense. There is not a shred of substance to it. The Bill of Rights will actually help the victims of crime, not least enabling us to deport more foreign national offenders”.
