Pursglove confident Home Office resourced for foreign offender deportations

In a statement to the House of Commons, home minister Tom Pursglove assured the House that the home office does have the resources to deport foreign national offenders.

The minister told the House that the government were delivering on a “firm and fair” immigration system.

Labour’s Stephen Kinnock disagreed, telling the House that the home office are failing “on all counts” to carry out fairness and firmness, lauding to reports that home office failures are leading to fewer deportations. Kinnock described the handling of the issue as “sheer incompetence”.
