New bill would implement further safety reforms for multi-storey car parks

The Labour MP Maria Eagle today proposed a 10 minute rule bill on implementing further safety reforms for multi-storey car parks.

Referring to the case of Gabriel Santer, a 15-year-old who died after falling from the top of a multi-storey car park in Liverpool city centre, Ms Eagle said: “Gabe’s father, my constituent, Johnny Santer is determined to ensure that Gabe’s death will not be in vain. He wants to make sure that no other person finds it so shockingly easily possible to fall or to jump from an open roofed, multi-storey car park”.
