Labour ‘pulling a fast one with the public’ with sewage discharge focus, says Coffey

The House of Commons today debated sewage charges after Labour tabled an opposition day motion.

Speaking in the debate, secretary of state for environment, food and rural affairs Thérèse Coffey said: “That’s why I suggest the honourable member is detached from reality and frankly trying to pull a fast one with the public. Our storm overflows discharge reduction plan outlines the largest infrastructure programme in water company history, and it deliver the toughest ever crackdown on such bills”.
