Coffey could raise benefit cap as cost of living increases
Work and pensions secretary Thérèse Coffey was grilled by MPs this morning.
She said that economic uncertainty during Covid was a factor in deciding against a review of the benefit cap last year.
However she went on to say that a further review was possible ahead of next April, given the climbing cost of living.
