Andrew Gwynne MP asks how COP26 president can ‘rebuild coalition’

During oral questions on COP26, Labour MP Andrew Gwynne asked the president Alok Sharma how he would “rebuild the coalition” that “failed to be reassembled” at COP26.

Sharma pointed out to Gwynne that the Glasgow climate pact came about due to a consensus being “brokered by the UK across almost 200 countries”.

The COP26 president told the House that he was focused on “ensuring countries delivered on the commitments that they made”.
