Veritas runs into trouble with online poll

Veritas has removed an online poll from its website after it returned a positive vote for the EU Constitution.

The party said the results incorporated “dubious voting”.

After flipping around the question to read “Do you believe the U.K. should not adopt the new European Constitution?”, automatic ‘yes’ voting continued, it reported.

Some of those who voted though claim the party simply took the poll off because they did not agree with the result – contrary to their claims to be a ‘straight talking’ party.

The poll and its results have now been withdrawn from the Veritas website and the party is “investigating further”.
