Unison attacks the Tories in new poster campaign

Britain’s biggest union Unison has launched a new poster campaign, which poses the question: “What are the Tories thinking of?”

The poster is a pastiche of the Conservatives’ own, using their handwritten style to ask: “How will spending £35 billion less on Public Services improve them?”

Unison general secretary Dave Prentis warned that a Conservative government would mean a return to “the dark old days where cost was the only criteria and cheapest was always best”.

The campaign, which will run for two weeks, is costing Unison £540,000. But Mr Prentis insists it is money well spent: “The Tories economic plans don’t add up. You cannot deliver high quality public services on the cheap and they know that.”
