Raab will reportedly share Chevening with his replacement Liz Truss

Justice secretary Dominic Raab and Liz Truss, who recently replaced his as foreign secretary, have reportedly been instructed to share Chevening after both attempted to claim use of residence.

According to The Times, prime minister Boris Johnson resolved the dispute by authorising both ministers to use the Kent estate.

This comes after Ms Truss held talks with Edgars Rinkvis, Gabrielius Landsbergis and Eva-Maria Liimets – the foreign ministers of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia respectively – at the estate earlier this week.

Formerly the principal seat of the earls Stanhope, the 115 room house and 3,500 acre grounds serve as a furnished country residence for a person nominated by the prime minister, and has traditionally been used by the incumbent foreign secretary,

Nominees finance are responsible for their own living expenses when using the residence, but government departments manage any official business at the estate.
