‘Animal rebellion’ protestors scale Home Office building

Protesters have climbed up a structure on the side of the Home Office building in Marsham Street, Westminster.

According to Sky News the group have reached half way up the side of the building and plan to display a banner when they reach the top.

Emergency services quickly reached the scene but no arrests have been made.

The group, known as ‘Animal Rebellion’ describe themselves as an animal and climate justice movement with the stated aim of compelling government action towards a plant-based food system. They are concerned about the impact of animal agriculture on climate change, species extinction and ecosystem breakdown.
