Make Baby P review public, MPs demand

The MPs granted access to the Baby P review have demanded it be made public.
Ed Balls, children's secretary, allowed the review to be seen by various MPs following massive levels of public interest in the case.
Those MPs are now calling for it to be made fully public.
They are David Laws, Liberal Democrat children's spokesman, Haringey Liberal Democrat MP Lynne Featherstone and shadow children's secretary Michael Gove.
"I simply cannot understand why Ed Balls is so determined to keep this information secret," said Mr Laws.
"Ed Balls first tried to use a previous ruling of the information commissioner to deny public access, and now he is refusing to even ask the information commissioner if the review can be published.
"It just isn't good enough for the government to use the information commissioner as a shield when it suits them, but to refuse to take his advice on what could be placed in the public domain."
