Mike Hill is ‌the Labour‌ ‌MP‌ ‌for Hartlepool‌, ‌having‌ ‌first‌ ‌been‌ ‌elected‌ ‌to‌ ‌Parliament‌ ‌in‌ 2017. The Hartlepool constituency‌ is‌ ‌found‌ ‌within‌ ‌County Durham and ‌covers‌ Hartlepool, Seaton Carew and the surrounding area. Mike was‌ ‌elected‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌2019‌ ‌General‌ ‌Election‌ ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌majority‌ ‌of‌ 3,595 over‌ ‌the Conservative ‌Party.‌ ‌

Born‌ on the 12th of May 1963‌, Mike gained a degree in Drama and English Literature from the University of Lancaster. He worked‌ in local authority libraries and as a trade union official before being elected to parliament in 2017.  He was also a trade union official, serving as the Political Officer for UNISON Northern Region
