Amanda Milling was elected as Conservative MP for Cannock Chase in 2015, being reelected in 2019 with a majority of 19,879.
The Cannock Chase constituency is found in the southern part of Staffordshire and contains the towns of Cannock, Hednesford, and Rugeley.  The constituency is a traditional marginal seat that normally swings with the government of the day. A very high 69% of the local population in this constituency backed Brexit in the 2016 EU referendum.
Milling was appointed Minister of State at the Foreign Office in September 2021. She was previously the Chairman of the Conservative Party. She previously served as the government’s Deputy Chief Whip, and an assistant whip.
Milling voted Remain in the 2016 EU referendum, and supported Boris Johnson in the 2019 Conservative Party leadership election.
Born in 1975, Milling grew up in Staffordshire was educated at University College London where she studied statistics and economics.
She worked in market research, specialising in financial services before becoming an MP. She was Director and Head of Clients at Optimisa Research
Milling was elected to Rossendale Council between 2009 and 2014.
