4:00pm – Barnier calls for sovereignty from ECJ

In a rather baffling turnaround, French presidential candidate Michel Barnier, the man who negotiated Brexit for the EU, has said: “We must regain our legal sovereignty to no longer be subject to the judgments of the ECJ or ECHR.”

This has unsurprisingly confused many, who see Barnier as an ardent defender of the EU.

8:42am – Good morning

The cabinet reshuffle is off. Or was it ever on? Downing Street did little to quell rumours of an imminent reshuffle, partly to keep rebels in line when it came to the Health and Social Care Levy vote yesterday.

Whilst the new tax hike has hardly been met with great enthusiasm in the party, the political mind games did their trick, with the vote going through 319 votes to 248, with only five Conservative MPs voting against. Politics eh?
