‘Wales is being let down by the justice system’, says Saville Roberts

On Tuesday morning, there was a Westminster Hall debate on the potential merits of the devolution of justice to Wales.

The debate was put forward by Plaid Cymru MP Liz Saville Roberts, who said: “The people of Wales are being let down by the justice system in its current state. Therefore, major reform is needed to the justice system and the current scheme of devolution. The weight of evidence is behind devolution and I believe this to be irrefutable. Whether the matter is approached from a Welsh viewpoint or from a Westminster viewpoint, I think that’s an important point to make”.
