PM calls on Saudi to ‘pump more oil’

Following his statement, updating the House of Commons on various international summits, prime minister Boris Johnson was asked by Robert Jenrick about Saudi Arabia pumping more oil to the UK to ease the cost of living crisis.

Jenrick asked the PM “what is the government going to do to encourage partners like Saudi Arabia” to pump more oil to the UK.

Johnson told MPs that there is “no doubt” that the UK needs “a lot more OPEC+ oil” and that there is “no question: over whether the Saudis should pump more oil.
