Matt Hancock on the future of the NHS

The House of Commons has debated the future of the NHS, its funding and staffing. The motion was put forward by the Labour MP Kate Osborne.

Speaking in the debate, former health secretary Matt Hancock said: “With the experience of three years as Health Secretary, [I know] how we can build on the promise of free health care, free at the point of delivery for every single person in the United Kingdom. Because this is a promise that I hold dear in my heart and that my party has supported with enthusiasm throughout the NHS over 70 year history”.
