‘I will not take lectures on standing up for victims’, says Raab

Secretary of state for justice Dominic Raab was questioned on the government’s record on rape prosecutions on Tuesday.

Shadow secretary of state for justice Steve Reed said: “Today, barely one in 100 reported rapes never makes it to trial. And he keeps on trying, as we heard just then. But there really can be no excuses for a failure to prosecute rapists”.
