Government accused of ‘copying’ Labour’s policies on anti-social behaviour

During justice department questions today, Labour spokesperson Steve Reed asked secretary of state Dominic Raab about the government’s newly announced anti-social behaviour policies.

Mr Reed asked: “When the Prime Minister copied our policies, why did he shrink them down to just a handful of pilots leaving most of the country with nothing?”.

Mr Raab responded: “They voted against tougher sentences. The mayor of London wants to decriminalise cannabis. He says he agrees with it. I have to say, the British public would have to be smoking it themselves if they were going to vote for them”.
