Communities questions: Afzal Khan on UK Islamophobia

During questions to the communities minister, Labour MP Afzal Khan suggested to the communities minister Kemi Baddenoch that the government had failed to “take tangible action” on Islamophobia.

Khan also called on the government to start tackling the issue with a “truly independent investigation into the Conservative Party”.

Baddenoch told the House that the government :remain committed to stamping out all forms of religious prejudice” and that next steps will be outlined “in due course”.
