Bradshaw raises concerns about the safety of LGBTQ+ school pupils in light of government advice

Labour MP Ben Bradshaw raised concerns over government advice to schools, suggesting they alert parents if a pupil is ‘gender-questioning’.

Bradshaw notes that many LGBTQ+ children are not comfortable coming out to their parents and in some cases, it becomes unsafe. He says this advice is ludicrous.

But Minister Nick Gibb says parental involvement is essential in these cases and schools must have this added support.
