MPs press energy bosses over methane flare bans

MPs have quizzed energy bosses over methane flare bans at today’s Environmental Audit Committee evidence session.

Shell ‘s UK chair David Bunch said that he was not sure a methane flare ban, which Norway already has, was “the best use of legislative time.”

Chris Skidmore MP highlighted that Methane is more powerful in terms of emissions than other greenhouse gases.
