‘It’s a bit of a mess’: Lisa Nandy taunts absent Michael Gove in housing debate

The House of Commons today heard an opposition day debate, led by shadow levelling up secretary Lisa Nandy, on leasehold reform.

Speaking in the debate, Ms Nandy said: “We are told the secretary of state was being too maximalist. We’ve had grumbling from the backbenches opposite that the secretary of state is being too socialist. And so Downing Street has stepped in and plans are being rolled back. And he isn’t even able to set foot in this chamber today. It’s a bit of a mess, isn’t it?”
