Fathers 4 Justice split

The notorious campaign group Fathers 4 Justice is facing a split.

Two of its best known members – Jason Hatch and David Pyke – who scaled Buckingham Palace dressed as Batman and Robin last year have been expelled from the group.

The official reason is that the pair tricked a pensioner into donating £500. But the two deny the charge, claiming they were expelled for questioning the organisation’s finances and what they see as creeping conservatism.

They are also reported to be dismayed at the decision by group founder Matt O’Connor to cancel a London rally due to fears of ‘extremists’ causing trouble.

It is believed the two men, with around 40 other members, are now considering setting up a breakaway group.
