Labour slogan hijacked

Saturday saw Labour launch its new “If you value it, vote for it” campaign slogan. Unfortunately it seems that the party forgot to register the domain name.

Internet users going to www.ifyouvalueitvoteforit.com are in fact directed to the Conservative website.

There, the poster reads: “‘If you value the truth, vote for it’ – Take a stand on the issues that matter, vote Conservative.”

The hijack is particularly ironic as Labour has been making extensive use of the web in this campaign and has sent numerous emails to its supporters. It is even rumoured to have employed US-online guru Zack Exley to work on the campaign.
