Teen charged with murder of Edward Smith
A teenager was charged last night with the murder of a man found dead in his home, police have confirmed.
Police found 54-year old Edward Smith dead at Fentham Road, Erdington, Birmingham at 09:30 GMT
Monday morning, following a tip-off.
Police said the cause of death was asphyxia and the man had been strangled.
The 19-year old women will appear at Sutton Coldfield Magistrates’ Court this morning.
A second person was also arrested on suspicion of murdering Mr Smith.
The 29-year-old man from Erdington was taken into custody.
