Police have charged four men, arrested last week under anti-terror laws, with possessing money to fund terrorism.

West Midlands Police said the charges related to “obtaining and possessing money to fund terrorism or possessing articles or material which provide instruction or training to make firearms or explosives.”

The men, aged 23, 24, and two aged 26, had individually been charged with seven offences under the Terrorism Act 2000.

The four were arrested in raids last Tuesday

The men, two from the West Midlands, one from Luton and another from Birmingham, will appear before Halesowen Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Separately, four men arrested in London on suspicion of links with terrorism were released without charge.

The men, aged between 28 and 32, were arrested on December 2 under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
