PM condemns antisemitic abuse aimed at Jewish teenagers on Oxford Street

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said that “racism of any kind will never be tolerated” in light of “disturbing” footage of men spitting at a bus that a group of Jewish teenagers were travelling on.

The now-viral clip shows the abuse taking place on Oxford Street where the teenagers had attended a celebration for the Jewish festival of Chanukah.

MPs Andrew Percy and Cat McKinnell, co-chairs of the APPG on antisemitism have also blasted the incident, saying in a statement: “This sort of behaviour is not only sick, it is criminal and we expect the Police to undertake a full investigation. It shames Britain that this should take place, seemingly unchallenged, on one of the busiest streets in the country.”
