New YouGov poll finds 65% of Brits support nuclear energy
Around two-thirds of Britons want to see nuclear power play a role in the UK’s climate change strategy, according to a new YouGov poll.
The newly-released survey follows reports that the government intends to put nuclear power at the heart of its attempts to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
According to YouGov, 65% of the public “believe that nuclear should play a role in the country’s climate change strategy.” A further 34%  would like nuclear energy to play a major role in the government’s climate crisis plan.
12% of Britons are against nuclear energy in any form.
