Farage calls for arrest of ‘eco-terrorists’ blocking Blackwall tunnel

The environmental protest group Insulate Britain are currently blocking the Blackwall Tunnel in London on their eleventh day of protests in three weeks.

In reaction to the news, GB News presenter and former Brexit party leader Nigel Farage said via Twitter:

“The four main entrances to London are currently being blocked by the Insulate Britain mob.

Tough talk from Priti Patel and Boris Johnson has led to nothing.

Arrest, charge and imprison these Eco-terrorists now!”

Yesterday the government announced that they had taken out a fresh court injunction to target protesters who cause disruption on any of the highways on the Strategic Road Network linked to the M25 in the south east.

Anyone who breaks this injunction faces imprisonment or an unlimited fine. Activists found in contempt of court may also be forced to repay the costs of their case.
