Margaret Beckett

Dame Margaret Beckett is the Labour MP for Derby South, and has been an MP continuously since 9 June 1983.

Dame Margaret held a number of important positions in the Tony Blair and Gordon Brown governments, including as foreign secretary.

She currently serves as the Chair of the Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy.
