MP calls for public inquiry into billionaires
An MP, and former member of governing Labour’s National Executive Committee, has called for a public inquiry into all billionaires.
Tweeting yesterday, Claudia Webbe wrote:
• Every UK billionaire should be brought before a Public Inquiry to be held accountable for their wealth.
• Citizens should be allowed to ask how they came to accrue that wealth

She later tweeted: ”Billionaires do not work harder than care home workers.”
Claudia Webbe was elected as the Labour MP for Leicester East in 2019, but was suspended from the Parliamentary Labour Party in September 2020 after being charged by the police.
