Biography:

Ian Davidson was re-elected MP for Glasgow South West in May 2010 with a majority of 14,671 votes.

Born 1950, Jedburgh.

Married with two children.

Educated at University of Edinburgh and JordanhillCollege, Glasgow.

Main leisure pursuits include distance running, swimming and rugby. Possibly the only Scot to score a hat trick of tries in representative games against both New Zealand and South Africa.

Contributes to local activity and Greater Pollok Partnership. Part of successful lobby to keep shipbuilding in Scotland. Has had input into legislation on Trade Unions.
