Biography:

David Simpson was re-elected MP for Upper Bann on May 7th 2015 with 15430 votes, taking 32.7% of the vote.

David Simpson went to Birches Primary School on Clonmacate Road then Killicomaine High School on Upper Church Lane in Portadown, County Armagh. He then studied at the College of Business Studies (now called Belfast Metropolitan College) in Belfast.

He then worked in the food manufacturing industry, specifically Universal Meat Company in Portadown.

He has been the Member of Parliament for Upper Bann since the 2005 general election when he defeated Ulster Unionist Party leader David Trimble.

He has been a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the same seat from 2003 to 2010, and a former Mayor of Craigavon Borough Council which lies within the constituency.

He is married with a son and two daughters.
