Tim Loughton praises John Lewis Christmas advert

Speaking in Thursday’s debate on the independent review of Children’s social care, Conservative MP Tim Loughton praised the John Lewis Christmas advert.

In his 45 minute speech, Loughton said: “I’m really pleased with the John Lewis advert this year. It’s one of those heart tugging adverts better than the usual dross you get from the supermarkets of Christmas quite often. But it’s not just an advert. It’s a cause and a mission”.

He also called the state of children’s social care a “national scandal”.
