‘Protections in place’ for UK agriculture in UK-Australia trade deal

During food and agricultural questions, SNP spokesperson Deidre Brock shared her concern for UK agriculture following the UK-Australia trade deal.

Concerns focused on the import of products “not permitted in the UK or the EU” and the lack of protection for copies of UK products such as Scottish whiskey and Cornish pasties.

Food secretary George Eustice assured MPs that he believes “we’ve got the right protections in place”.
