Nigel Farage hails Reform as ‘new kids on the block’ in first commons speech
Reform leader Nigel Farage delivered his first commons speech since being elected as an MP on Tuesday, telling the House that his party are “the new kids on the block”.
Farage, the MP for Clacton, declared his support for speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle, but blasted his predecessor, John Bercow, as a “little man”.
Addressing Hoyle, Farage said: “We absolutely endorse you entirely for this job. And [you are], I must say, a marked contrast to the little man that was there before you and besmirched the office so dreadfully in doing his best to overturn the biggest democratic result in the history of the country [Brexit]”.
