Bob Blackman highlights risk of developing dementia from tobacco use

The Conservative MP Bob Blackman today initiated a Westminster Hall debate on National No Smoking Day.

Speaking in the debate, shadow public health minister Andrew Gwynne said: “We’ve made great strides in tackling smoking prevalence and we now have a smoking rate of around 13%. We’ve seen a clampdown on tobacco advertisements … , and most notably, I would argue, Labour’s ban on indoor smoking, which has led to a truly transformative impact on public health”.
